It seems the holiday season is upon us once again. It’s time for us to cook and clean and shop and decorate and entertain and be charitable. I don’t know about you, but just thinking about the chaos that is about to ensue makes me want to curl up with one of my favorite books and lose myself in the plot and the characters. Especially the too good to be true heroes.

This blog hop is all about the heat factor of the heroes and along our journey you’re going to see a lot of heroes that could make you melt. But we all know these guys have  a lot more going for them than looks alone. The best romance heroes have characteristics that make the reader love them for their minds as much as for their bodies. They’re tortured and troubled, brooding and beguiling, and beneath their rock-hard chests beats a heart of solid gold.

If you’re looking for some examples of sexy heroes, feel free to explore the website. Whether you’re drawn to historical dukes, contemporary soldiers, or paranormal shape shifters, we have the sexy hero to make your heart race and increase your temperature by a degree or two.

I hope you enjoy the holiday season, with the help of some romance heroes.

Today we want to know, what’s your favorite kind of hero? A tall, dark vampire? A shy cowboy? Describe him and you’ll be entered into the drawing for a $75 gift card and a collection of Rock*It Reads books.

  34. Patricia J. says:

My favorite kind of hero is the one isn’t just going to melt your heart with his fierce dedication to the heroine, but one that I can truly respect as a person. A guy who understands true strength, dedication to family, friends, and team members, and never giving up; someone who chooses to fight even when the odds are clearly against him and he knows it; a strong code of honor. He says it like it is, do beating around the bush, but not without tact and consideration. Determined, and courageous. But he can be laid back too, not so serious all the time. Looks? Tall, dark-haired and capable :) I tend to be drawn to military-oriented heroes because they don’t ever give up and they are strong mentally and physically, and they inspire strength as well.

  47. I have so many candidates when trying to describe the ideal romance hero we could be here for a looong time, so I’ll try to keep it short: he would have to be warm-hearted and generous, passionate and protective and I just have a thing for tall, dark and handsome heroes ;-) I’m usually not a fan of vaps (grew tired of them), but a sexy shifter, yummy cowboy, cute guy next door or delicious duke could come my way any time :-D

My hero is an Alpha and the best type of hero always thinking and helping others. Like your very own Nash Farris, Lord Ashby he was a military man when I met him during Vietnam and then joinig he Navy Reserves until he retired and always has put the good of others before himself.

To me an Alpha male is a man who sees the things that are wrong in the society around him and takes action to make it better. He is also a man who puts his family before all else and because of his strength and dedication all those around him benefit from his strength and his understanding. No wife could be more fortunate than I who has been able to grow and thrive with his honesty and dedication and never failing love!

My favorite hero is someone I can talk to. I love the strong silent types, but also the smart kind type who is not afraid to let you know how he feels. I don’t care if he’s vampire, werewolf, or human, as long as I feel I can talk to him, and vice versa. A hero who is there when you need him, and knows what you want without having to ask, hero’s like in nearly any romance novel, or book, you read. The perfect hero is someone you feel safe with, like characters in books by: Jennifer Lyon, Lora Leigh, Pamela Clare, etc.

  87. Hmmmm? Sometimes the quiet shy type, but usually the macho arrogant type that gets brought to his knees by the right women…

  88. Regina Ross says:
